A Prairie Picnic in Round Top!

Yes...we are WAY behind on blogging...lol. But better late than never, right? I have a confession to make, this was my FIRST ever trip to Round Top! I have always heard the stories from Janie, Cecilia and Mary about their great finds in the fields, but having a young son has made it impossible to tag along until this year! Janie's sister Linda and her husband live in Round Top so we were able to stay at one of their gorgeous rental properties, just down the road from all the action!

We had a blast shopping and soon realized we should have brought a trailer..lol!

After a long day of shopping, it was time to head back to the house to get ready for the Prairie Picnic! Janie has been hosting this gathering of friends for several years, and we were thrilled to be invited to be a part of the fun! I apologize in advance for the very photo-heavy post!

Hostesses for the Picnic were Andrea Burleson, Mary Smith, Cherry Hoback, special guest Lisa Love Harris, Cat Geiger, Janie Conley and Cecilia Scott and Kristi Knox Day (not pictured here).

Mary and Lisa help out in the kitchen.

Lynn and Janie hang vintage aprons up...

Festive POTP tumblers went home with each guest!

Fresh wildflowers in vintage bottles decorated each table.

Bright boxes held the chicken salad sandwhiches, chips and homemade caramel apple desserts!

Chilled wine anyone?

The Rodeo Queens made beautiful rosette nametags, made from old quilts, for each guest at the Picnic!

The stage is set for a night with good friends!

Robin Tinsley, on the left, came all the way from Midland for the Picnic!

True "sister treasures" Elaine Reinhard-Lang and Betsy Herrmann joined in on the fun!

Good friends...Kristi Knox Day, Cecilia Scott, Pam Knecht and Lisa Love Harris.

Cindy Dix Crane and Janie strike a pose!

The fabulous Charlene Gray and Sandy Navarro were able to join us too...

Big thanks to Linda (far right) for providing the beautiful setting for the party!

That's Sue LaLumia in the center visiting with Sandy and Kristi.

Nothing like a night under the Texas sky with good friends and good food!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Picnic....we can't wait till next Spring!! Cat
